What have I been up to since my last blog…well firstly, as I hope you all know, my new album, ‘Believe’ came out last week. I was pretty nervous. There’s been so much interest in it and it’s the first one with my new label, Warner so thankfully it’s done really well! It went in at Number 6 in the UK album charts! Thanks so much to everyone who bought it! On the Monday morning I performed 'Bring Me To Life' on This Morning. I love Eamonn and Ruth, they’re such a lovely couple. Eamonn is so naughty, I don’t know how Ruth puts up with him! It’s always harmless fun though. I then dashed over to the heli pad in Battersea where I was whisked off to Wales for my album signings. I’ve been in a helicopter before, to perform for the troopes, but this was snazzy version! It usually takes about 3 hours to drive from London to Wales, but it only took an hour in the heli! It was so nice to be back in Wales and so many people turned up to the signings. It was really important to me to fit everyone in and meet everyone who came, so I hope I didn’t disappoint anyone! It’s always very humbling to go home, in fact I got quite emotional. Tuesday was all about national radio. I did interviews for The Steve Wright Show, Classic FM, Smooth, Magic. I also did Zoe Ball’s Radio 2 Show. She’s lovely. I told her all about the infamous Jenkins' family girls night out. She said she’d love to come along to one…once she’s had the baby of course! Later that night I was back to making Lemon Drizzle cake! I promised I’d bake one for Eamonn's (Holmes) birthday. It was much lighter this time, thanks to the advice I got from Simon on Something For The Weekend. So thanks Simon! On Wednesday I was busy with another round of signings, Birmingham and Manchester, which was great fun. On Thursday it was another interview with Eamonn Holmes for Sky News, so I took along his birthday cake for him. I was feeling the pressure slightly as he’d been announcing to everyone that I was bringing it. He shared it with the team and everyone seemed to guzzle it down. Haha. Afterwards I filmed a pre-record on The Graham Norton Show…hilarious! I was crying with laughter. Graham had found clips of dogs singing opera on YouTube...so funny! On Friday I filmed a Christmas special with Ruth Jones (Nessa from Gavin and Stacey). The results are pretty funny so make sure you catch it when it airs over Christmas. Afterwards I did my final album signing in Westfield Shopping Centre in London. Thanks to everyone who came. Once that had finished I headed home. I had my friend Angela coming over to stay and we went out for a wonderful dinner at Shoreditch House, overlooking the pool! On Saturday night I performed at a very intimate, private gathering for just 18 people. Unfortunately I can’t tell you who it was for though! Then on Sunday I finally got to chill out and get some well-deserved R&R. I went to my sisters and she cooked a wonderful roast. Bless her. Catch you next week! Buckets of love Katherine x

Those of you that caught Katherine's recent performance at G-A-Y will have noticed that she was adorned with a set of beautiful crystals. The crystals were so eye-catching that since the performance, Katherine has been inundated with requests from fans via Twitter for her to auction them on E-Bay, so that's exactly what she's done. You can now bid for them right here. All the money raised from the auction will go to the Royal British Legions Poppy Appeal, so head on over and add your support. During the performance Katherine wore the crystals glued to her neck, arms and face; they are made by Swarovski and come in several different sizes. The successful bidder will recieve the crystals by recorded delivery along with a signed photograph of Katherine wearing them at G-A-Y.

Hi everyone! What a week I had last week! It’s been unbelievably hectic in the lead up to the album release, I’ve literally not stopped. I’ll try and remember everything that I’ve been up to… On Monday I was busy doing radio promo in Nottingham, Sheffield and Derby. Then on Tuesday I performed my new single ‘Bring Me To Life’ on GMTV. I was really keen to this song, even though it’s tricky one that I have to warm up my voice for, so I was up at 3am to start rehearsing. Lorraine was her usually bubbly self and was really sweet about the song, which was nice. I’m sorry I couldn’t stop and talk to those of you who were waiting outside; I had to dash off to a doctor’s appointment! On Wednesday I was busy all day with interviews, firstly with two of the biggest TV Shows in South Africa, then additional interviews with various online publications in the evening. On Thursday I had a really early start in South London for a shoot with OK magazine. We did the shoot at The Perch, a really cool studio that used to be a pub. When we arrived I realised it was the same studio where we'd shot the cover for Living The Dream! I really enjoyed the shoot, it was very autumn-inspired and I wore lots of pretty dresses and cute hair accessories. The magazine should be out in a couple of weeks so watch out for it! On Friday I had a day full of promo - I did the BBC Breakfast News, Classic FM, then in the evening I did London Tonight…phew! There was no sign of slowing down as my weekend arrived; in fact it was the busiest weekend I think I’ve ever had! Because I’ve been so busy with the album, I’ve hardly had time to see my godson, so on Saturday morning I got up early and went to see him. We played and had breakfast; it was a really nice start to the day. Then it was over to G-A-Y for a sound check before going home to get ready. I had hundreds of body crystals stuck on me, which took 3 hours, but all my friends came round and we watched Strictly and my interview on Piers Morgan. It was weird watching the Piers interview; it actually made me emotional all over again! I have to say that since the show I’ve been overwhelmed by the support I’ve had from people saying how much they enjoyed watching it and how they had a good cry with me! I’m glad that I got to show the real me and I hope you all feel you know me a little better now. Anyway, then it was back to G-A-Y for the show! Jeremy (G-A-Y’s promoter) and I were a bit nervous because they’d never had a performer like me on before. The show went absolutely brilliantly though and the audience at G-A-Y sure know how to make a girl feel welcome! The place was packed and everyone seemed to have a great time. Thanks everyone for an unforgettable night. By the time I got home and had the crystals taken off, it was 3am. I just collapsed into bed ready for my 6am start! The next morning I was on Something For The Weekend. Simon Rimmer filled me on where I’d been going wrong with my lemon drizzle cake. Apparently you have to stir in the flour with a spoon, NOT a whisk, because the spoon stretches the gluten! Everybody seems to know about my lemon drizzle cake, I’ve had lots of orders! On Sunday afternoon I performed at the NFL at Wembley Stadium. There was such an awesome atmosphere and it was so exciting to see the cheerleaders and the players (who were enormous!!).
By the time I got home I’d been working for almost 24 hrs straight so it was straight to bed for me! The next morning I was due for another 5am start for my performance on This Morning…but I’ll tell you all about that next week!! Before I go I just wanted to remind you that my album was released on Monday! I’m so excited and the response has been brilliant. I hope you’ve all got your copy and that the Royal Mail hasn’t let you down! Thanks for all your supportive messages, comments and tweets – IT MEANS THE WORLD! Love to you all, Katherine x
