Katrina suggested 5 word scrabble for a new game

The RULES:

It is very simple, the rules are as follows:

You can only change one letter.

You cannot add letters or change them around. It's a 5 letter game

Please look at the previous posts before you post

Are you repeating something has already posted a couple of posts ago?

Please look at the previous posts after you've posted as you may be out of synch

Has someone posted the same time, if so, consider editing and revising your post and hope that no one follows on from you because they haven't checked either

If this happens, members have the right to go back to the last follow on word

How to play:

Just post a word, (or two or three) which is somehow connected to the word posted before you - i.e. Tennis ? Elbow - Foot. If someone beats you to it you'll have to delete yours and post another. If a person can't understand the connection between the two words they can challenge you - and you or them gets to look silly!

Just a few points here:

If your challenge is successful you get to restart the game (in this thread).

If the game grinds to a halt because no one has replied to a challenge or because the successful challenger has failed to post a new word, the game can be restarted by anyone after 1 hour (or even sooner ).

For those of us who like to include a picture PLEASE include the words as well. We've had some cases of pictures not appearing and no way of knowing what the word is.

I'd thought I'd start a new game as I was getting bored.

Basically all you have to do it say two things that you would like to know what people prefer. The next user then must answer and leave another two options for the next user. While it's a bit of fun it also helps you learn more about the users on the board. I'll start with a Katherine related one but it doesn't have to be.

Before i start can i please say that anyone is free to delete this thread if they don't think it's a good idea.

I got the idea for this game of a Disney forum i used to be member of, on there it was called Disney ABC. The explanation:

"In this one, you name a Disney character, object, place, song, or movie title that starts with the letter of the alphabet following the one that's been used in the post before yours."

That would be the explanation for the disney verison, but ours is all about KJ. So we would play using:

*. Songs

*.Albums

*Schools she attended

*. Family Members

*Names of shows

*Favourite films.

Etc. Basically anything to do with KJ.

Does that explain it okay?

Also once we reach Z we just start from A again. Have fun!

Basically what it says in the subject box...Guess The KJ Song! :)

1) I'll post some lyrics from a KJ song, something she has sang.
2) The next person to post guesses the song, if the person who originally posted the lyrics says they are correct they provide the next quote for the rest of us to guess etc.

If the person is incorrect with their guess then the game just continues until we get a correct answer.

I hope i've explained this okay, if somethings not clear just let me know & i'll try to amend it.

[b]~ If the answers start to become too easy and it's not a challenge to guess then we can change the type of songs we use, for example they might not have to all be by Katherine Jenkins, we could use KJ and musical theatre etc. ~

Hi everyone. I’m adding a new game that I hope everyone will like. I got permission from Graham who started the Katherine ABC game on here , and this is a take off of that. I thought it would be fun to learn more about Katherine’s amazing home country of Wales this way. I’ve been fortunate enough to have visited Wales 3 times and there’s a lot to learn and see. Welsh words are welcome on this game but if you use a word spelled in Welsh please follow it up with it's meaning in English so that perhaps we can all learn a bit more about the language as we play the game. Steve. :)

Those of you from the old forum will remember a couple of quizzes i posted earlier in the year which showed partial views of famous landmarks. As a Xmas quiz i,ve compiled 40 "Famous Landmarks Of London" views (Including for those with good memories, 2 or 3 from the previous quizzes). All photos were taken this year which might help with 1 or 2?
